NEW LOOK: MIA BELLA, HAUZ KHAS VILLAGE
Standing true to its name which means beautiful, Mia Bella aims to provide an amazing experience where one gets awestruck by the natural beauty of the Hauz Khas Lake surrounded by the ridge of greenry and a fort while the food and drinks keep on flowing in abundance.
The contemporary interior of this gastro-pub is designed in an impressive way to create a relaxed yet spirited atmosphere. The young and uber cool look of the gastro-pub makes it a very lively place. On one floor the comfy sofas rule the decor whereas the other floor is dotted with chairs and tables in hues of blue, orange and torque blue. Vintage wall clocks, mirrors, pieces of art such as the classic Cupid adds to the beauty of the place.
The pioneer in introducing the Braai cuisine of South Africa, Mia Bella has recently introduced a Progressive World Cuisine which includes some Modern and Molecular recipes.
The thick Slow Roast Tomato and Pepper Soup (served with Garlic Butter Crostini) and Deconstructed Hawaiian Pizza Salad (comprising of Lettuce, Arugula Leaves, Pineapple Chunks, Cherry Tomato, Jalapeno, Crispy Pizza Base and Fresh Mozzarella tossed with mixed pepper dressing) are a good option to begin with.
For something more substantial Sweet Potato and Feta Tikki (served with Chickpea and Shallot Chaat along with Granny Smith Chutney) and Potato and Apricot Croquettes (Sabudana crumbed croquettes served with Pineapple Chutney and Bravas Sauce) are a must try. Their Fusion To Confusion Tacos (Lijjat papad converted into taco shell and stuffed with iceberg lettuce, salsa and sour cream) will surely leave you asking for more.
The portions served are quite generous, so be prepared to share your main course dishes. Cottage Cheese Wrap (grilled cottage cheese marinated in red chilli and garlic paste for overnight and wrapped in a pita bread) and Veg Mediterranean Pizza (with toppings of peppers, mushroom, onion, spinach, garlic, tomato and zucchini topped with chilli flakes) are highly recommended. Pair your meal with well-blended cocktails like Raaz Mataz (vodka, cointreau, grape juice and kaffir lime leaves) and Mysterious Martini (vodka, smoked pineapple and vanilla essence).
Don’t forget to leave some space for sweet endings like Dark Chocolate Mud Slice and Mia Bella Sunday. It is a bet, you won’t regret it.
